This activity is hosted by Logan Health.  Visit the event registration website for full details: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/frontier-trauma-summit-2026-tickets-1996707642308?aff=oddtdtcreator

The purpose of this activity is to enhance the knowledge and confidence of healthcare providers caring for trauma patients, particularly in rural and resource-limited settings. This program will strengthen learners’ ability to assess, diagnose, and manage traumatic conditions using current evidence-based practices. Through multidisciplinary, case-based learning, participants will also explore trauma system development, performance improvement (PI), and strategies for sustainable program operations. Ultimately, this activity aims to improve clinical decision-making, care coordination, and patient outcomes through practical, real-world application.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Discuss current principles and best practices in rural trauma care, spanning prehospital response, resuscitation, and definitive management.
  2. Identify strategies for improving rural trauma systems performance, including EMS integration, communication, and coordinated care delivery.
  3. Recognize advances and evolving approaches in trauma resuscitation and surgical care, with attention to resource-limited environments.
  4. Describe key system-level considerations in rural trauma care, including ethics, workforce models, financial sustainability, and performance improvement.
