Overview

The Physician Grand Rounds series aims to enhance learner knowledge and competence in diagnosis, treatment, and research advances for a variety of conditions.  The series is designed for physician and non-physician providers, although all staff are welcome to attend.

Through integrated didactic lectures, case discussions, and research presentations, speakers will explore the latest advancements in the research, diagnosis, guidelines, and treatment of various diseases.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Define a broad range of clinical problems and review the latest trends in clinical quality improvement.
  2. Recognize how to practice medicine as part of an interprofessional team to improve patient care.
  3. Apply information on more time-efficient and cost-efficient methods for treating patients including professional leadership in healthcare and faculty development.
  4. Identify information on the latest technological advances.
  5. Review the emerging trends in diagnostics, therapeutic care, health care policy, reimbursement, regulation, legal climate, medical education, and medical research.
