2025 Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Case Conference

Occurs monthly on the 3rd Monday starting on 1/20/2025 at 7:00 AM for the next 12 months ending on 1/20/2026 at 6:00 AM
Monday, January 20, 2025, 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM MT, Billings, MT

Open to: Billings Clinic Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgeons, APPs, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and QI personnel only, unless otherwise invited.

This monthly conference will review cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery cases that had complications and/or deaths, challenges of management, or that provide educational value.  Recent studies and updates to practice guidelines will be reviewed and utilized to develop recommendations.  An additional goal will be development of guidelines and protocols as well as quality improvement initiatives at departmental levels.

1. Review complications and/or deaths to impact the management of similar issues in future patients.
2. Design and implement new processes so that complications do not reoccur and their effects are minimized.
3. Identify high-risk patients and utilize clinical practice guidelines to manage and optimize care.

Credit equivalencies for non-physician learners:
Generally, CME activities that are designed for physician learners are accepted by other non-physician certifying boards and licensing bodies such as the AAPA, ANCC, Montana Board of Nursing, Montana Board of Pharmacy, and others.

Successful completion of this CME activity, enables the learner to earn up to 1  MOC credit toward the American Board of Thoracic Surgery’s Maintenance of Certification program.
