2024 Primary Care Symposium

The focus of the Primary Care Symposium is to disseminate information pertinent to various clinical topics for providers throughout the region. Content is limited to illnesses frequently seen in the rural primary care setting. The format of this activity is planned to be a hybrid event, with live, in-person audience participation and live, online audience participation.

1. Review the emerging trends in diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for a variety of illnesses.
2. Describe a broad range of clinical issues and review the latest information to improve patient care.
3. Apply information learned to their current practices resulting in more time-efficient and cost-effective methods of patient treatment.

Physician: $175.00
APP (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner): $175.00
Nursing professionals: $110.00
Allied health professionals: $110.00

Credit equivalencies for other non-physician learners:

AAPA
American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) states that the AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ are acceptable for continuing medical education requirements for recertification.  Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 8.25 hours of Category I credit for completing this program.

AANPCB
For the purposes of recertification, AANPCB accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ issued by organizations accredited by ACCME as an equivalent number of hours of participation. 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ = 1 contact hour.

Montana Board of Nursing
The Montana Board of Nursing allows continuing education credits that have been approved by “a professional organization that establishes criteria for continuing education in nursing, advanced nursing, medicine and other health care specialties.” Nurses may receive a certificate for 8.25 hours for completing this program.

ANCC
Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses for recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education).
Participants should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Medical Assistants
The American Association of Medical Assistants allows up to 30 non-AAMA recertification points for CMAs (AAMA) who are recertifying by continuing education.
