2024 Project ECHO IAP and PMH

Project ECHO is a model that revolutionizes medical education and increases workforce capacity to provide best-practice specialty care and reduce health disparities. The heart of the ECHO model™ is its hub-and-spoke knowledge-sharing networks, led by expert teams who use multi-point videoconferencing to conduct virtual clinics with community providers. In this way, primary care doctors, nurses, and other clinicians learn to provide excellent specialty care to patients in their own communities. This particular Project ECHO offering focuses on integrated addictions and psychiatry on the first and third Wednesdays and focuses on pediatric mental health on the second and fourth Wednesdays.

1. Demonstrate ways to engage in peer-to-peer education regarding integrated behavioral health
2. Identify appropriate treatment options for mental health and addictions
3. Describe appropriate medication management for mental health and addictions
4. Better assist providers to treat patients where they live

 

Credit equivalencies for non-physician learners:
Generally, CME activities that are designed for physician learners are accepted by other non-physician certifying boards and licensing bodies such as the AAPA, ANCC, Montana Board of Nursing, Montana Board of Pharmacy, and others.
