EHR Updates and Training

This activity consists of two parts, which both serve to inform providers of updates in the Oracle/Cerner environment and provide hands-on assistance for providers experiencing difficulty.

1. On a quarterly basis, IT Provider Support Team and CMIOs will provide a live demonstration of updates/new functionality in Oracle/Cerner.

2. Physicians and APPs can sign up to receive help on a 1:1 basis on wherever they feel they have deficiencies in using Oracle/Cerner. Maximum: 4 sessions per year.

1. Utilize workflow optimization techniques and EHR shortcuts to reduce time spent on chart review and documentation.
2. Identify tangible strategies to reduce stress related to EHR processes and show improved confidence and competence related to EHR use.
3. Describe and apply recent best practices or updates to the EHR that will enhance clinical accuracy and efficiency.

ACCME

Billings Clinic is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Billings Clinic designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)^TM.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. (Each session is worth up to 1.0 credits.)

Credit equivalencies for non-physician learners:

Generally, CME activities that are designed for physician learners are accepted by other non-physician certifying boards and licensing bodies such as the AAPA, ANCC, Montana Board of Nursing, Montana Board of Pharmacy, and others.  This attached guide may be helpful.  For specific information, please contact your specific board or certifying body.
