Shenthol Sasankan, M.D., grew up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. After graduating from Kasturba Medical College, MAHE University in India, she traveled and worked in renowned institutions including University of Pennsylvania, NIH and Johns Hopkins, prior to her Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She graduated as Chief Fellow from the Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center and completed City of Hope’s Intensive Course in Cancer Genetic Risk Assessment. Dr Sasankan joined Billings Clinic Cancer Center in July 2021 and has enjoyed living and working in Montana. She took on the position of Department Chair of the Hematology and Medical Oncology Department in July 2023. Shenthol and her husband, Sam, enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling around the world, and cooking. They live in Laurel, MT with their two Australian Cattle Dogs, Jack and Piper.
